摘要: In Canada, youth apprenticeships have been promoted as an educational alternative that leads to the development of valuable skills, allows for opportunity earn income while learning and helps gain a head start into lucrative, creative in-demand careers. Yet, these programmes remained rather marginal continue be perceived being lower-status compared traditional post-secondary pathways, such those leading university or community college. this paper, we draw on interview data with former apprentices in province Ontario explore their reasons entering high school, experiences them own perceptions about status social recognition apprenticeships.
