摘要: Histological sections of the tentacles Ancistrus triradiatus revealed that they contain many goblet cells with granule-like distributed along edge (mean 302 mm(-1)). Various histochemical methods were used to characterize contents cells. The results indicated periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) positive, glycogen negative and no sulphated mucins could be found. acid O-acetylated sialomucins which had high energy content. snout skin male also contained higher density 755 mm(-1)) than tentacles. Snout female A. triradiatus, on contrary, did not any Instead, minute spines Based secretions are nutritional values, it is hypothesized tentacle provide nutrients fish larvae when under paternal care.
