摘要: We have developed a quantitative imaging refractometry technique, based on holographic phase microscopy, as tool for investigating microscopic structural changes in water-soluble polymeric materials. Here we apply the approach to analyze degradation of vaginal topical microbicide films due water uptake. implemented transmission 1-mm diameter film samples loaded into flow chamber with 1.5×2 mm field view. After was flooded chamber, interference images were captured and analyzed obtain high resolution maps local refractive index subsequently volume fraction mass density material at each spatial location. Here, compare hydration dynamics panel varying thicknesses polymer compositions, demonstrating that can be an effective evaluating characterizing performance candidate designs anti-HIV drug delivery.
