Potentials of protoplast culture work in agriculture

摘要: During a short span of the last four years there have been exciting developments in field protoplast culture and somatic hybridization. Enormous interest enthusiasm was shown by plant scientists at ‘International Colloquium on Protoplasts Fusion Somatic Plant Cells’, ‘Third International Symposium Yeast Protoplasts’ held 1972 Versailles (France) Salamanca (Spain), respectively. At present, large quantities protoplasts can be enzymatically isolated, when cultured they regenerate wall divide to give rise clone homogenous callus tissue. By manipulationof nutritional physical conditions this tissue induced differentiate into both haploid diploid plants. The also fuse with one another, fused product cultured, made or ‘parasexual hybrid’. take up micro- macromolecules, viruses, bacteria, genetic materials like DNA nuclei, serve for transformation cell modification studies. Isolated chloroplasts transplanted albino green plants obtained.
