Origins and Spin Dependence of Near Infrared Magnetic Circular Dichroism of Iron(III) Hemoproteins

摘要: Temperature variation experiments on near infrared magnetic circular dichroism spectra (700–2000 nm) have demonstrated that metmyoglobin (iron(III) myoglobin) cyanide and fluoride derivatives which are typical low high spin iron(III) heme complexes, respectively, exhibit the Faraday C term A terms, respectively. The results consistent with theoretical predictions based assignment bands of complexes attributable to charge-transfer transitions from occupied a1 a2 π orbitals vacant iron dπ (dxz, dyz) in a C4v notation.
