Downconversion in Pr3+–Yb3+ co-doped ZBLA fluoride glasses

摘要: Abstract Fluorozirconate ZBLA glasses with molar composition 57ZrF 4 –34BaF 2 –5LaF 3 –4AlF –0.5PrF – x YbF (from =0 to 10) were synthesized evaluate the rate of conversion visible photons into infrared photons. The emission spectra in near (NIR) at 950–1100 nm and luminescence decays NIR indicate an energy transfer from Pr 3+ Yb upon blue excitation 440 nm. efficiency increases concentration reach 86% 0.5Pr –10Yb co-doping (in mol%). However, quenching strongly reduces downconversion process: decay time values decrease 600 µs ( =0.5 mol%) 85 µs =10 mol%).
