Comparative genetic characterization of third-generation cephalosporin-resistant Escherichia coli from chicken meat produced by integrated broiler operations in South Korea.

摘要: Vertical integration of the broiler industry allows producers to combine different biosecurity and sanitation practices, housing technologies, feeding regimens improve food safety. The objectives this study were determine antimicrobial resistance pattern β-lactamase-producing E. coli compare characteristics recovered from 7 integrated operations in South Korea. Among 200 chicken meat samples, 101 observed be positive for coli. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) analysis was performed on isolates. In PFGE, included PFGE patterns showing same operation an accorded β-lactam antibiotics presence bla-gene.
