摘要: Phytotoxic effect of aqueous leaf and bark extracts Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br. was investigated against parthenium weed (Parthenium hysterophorus L.). In a laboratory bioassay, carried out in 9-cm diameter Petri plates, 2–10% fresh leaves significantly reduced germination seeds from 30-80%. Seedling growth terms root shoot length, biomass, also by all except 2% extract concentration. Bark same concentrations proved less toxic resulting an insignificant reduction germination. Generally, the on seedling insignificant. foliar spray three sprays 50% 100% w/v (on weight basis) were 15 days old plants with 5 intervals. A significant biomass recorded due to spray, after 2 week first spray. The present study concludes that A. contain potent herbicidal constituents for management weed.
