摘要: Purpose To assess interobserver agreement between 2 corneal specialists grading Fuchs' dystrophy clinically and to determine if the central-to-peripheral thickness ratio (CPTR) may be an alternative objective metric of disease severity. Design Cross-sectional study. Participants Forty-five eyes (26 subjects) with mild moderate dystrophy, 73 (60 advanced 267 (142 normal corneas. Methods Corneas were graded by based on confluence area guttae presence or absence edema. Central (CCT) peripheral at 4 mm from center (PCT ) measured using scanning-slit pachymetry. The value CPTR was quotient CCT PCT . Main Outcome Measures Interobserver for clinical grade Results (κ = 0.32; 95% confidence interval, 0.19–0.45). In corneas, not correlated age ( r −0.10; P 0.28; n=267), decreased −0.33; increased 0.59; higher in (650±51 μm; n=107) than corneas (643±43 n=254; (1.03±0.07; n=65) (0.95±0.07; n=42; age-adjusted highly 0.77; Conclusions Agreement subjective morphologic is only objective, repeatable, possibly functional, severity that warrants further investigation its role monitoring progression predicting need keratoplasty.
