摘要: Fifteen cows among a herd of 50 suckler and calves rapidly lost body condition became dull anorexic after grazing pasture containing bog asphodel (Narthecium ossifragum) during the summer 1989. The affected had evidence kidney damage characterised by elevated plasma urea creatinine concentrations. Eleven died diffuse renal tubular necrosis was present in three which were examined post mortem. Similar lesions reproduced experimentally feeding to healthy calf.
