摘要: Young adult sheep were dosed with extracts of Narthecium ossifragum plants by the oral or parenteral routes and resulting nephrotoxicity was assessed from increases in concentrations creatinine urea serum. Following single intraruminal intraperitoneal doses derived 30 g N. (wet weight) per kg live weight (kg lw), serum increased about 100 μmol/L to between 260 510 μmol/L. The 5–8 mmol/L 11 66 individual sheep. Daily administration 5–30 g/kg lw three over a 10- 15-day period 300–760 μmol/L, 35 mmol/L. A challenge dose lw, delivered 7 12 days after final dose, did not lead concentrations, indicating that treatment had apparently resulted an tolerance nephrotoxic principle(s) ossifragum.
