摘要: A workshop entitled "Metrology and Standards Needs for Gene Expression Technologies: Universal RNA Standards" was held in March 2003 to define the requirements standardizing RNA-based molecular assays, specifically microarray quantitative reverse-transcriptase-PCR technologies. NIST sponsored workshop, participants represented government, industry, academia, clinic. Workshop concluded that as a first step, two reference materials could be defined would help standardization of gene-expression technologies: an Assay Process Reference Material, Array Hybridization Material. The specific characteristics these standardized were broadly outlined. Material proposed pool 96 expressed human sequences composition, cloned vector pooled prescribed ways. 12 "alien" synthetic not any known genome used control variability array hybridization methods. Work is underway at among members gene expression community further make them available.
