摘要: The purpose of this study was to examine the association between social network characteristics and peer norms related sharing needles shooting gallery use. Multivariate logistic regression modeling used identify factors that were independently associated with use among a sample injection drug users recruited in Baltimore, Maryland. Of 842 participants, 35% reported attending past 6 months. Social networks larger, had greater number injectors crack smokers, younger less dense fewer kin members compared non-gallery attenders. A proportion those who perceived their peers shared would not disapprove if they dirty needle. Future research is needed understand how are specific behavioral settings may impede adoption preventive behaviors.
