摘要: This paper presents a modified proportional fairness (PF) criterion suitable for mitigating the \textit{rate anomaly} problem of multirate IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs employing mandatory Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) option. Compared to widely adopted assumption saturated network, proposed can be applied general networks whereby contending stations are characterized by specific packet arrival rates, $\lambda_s$, and transmission rates $R_d^{s}$. The throughput allocation resulting from algorithm is able greatly increase aggregate DCF while ensuring levels among same order ones available with classical PF criterion. Put simply, each station allocated that depends on normalization its rate, which, some extent, measures frequency which tries gain access channel. Simulation results presented sample scenarios, confirming effectiveness
