摘要: Abstract A series of trials was conducted to determine the effect extended periods light on growth, survival, feeding pattern and daily feed consumption barramundi, Lates calcarifer , larvae juveniles. Larvae 2–10 days old grew progressively faster under conditions 8, 16 24 h per day; survival rates did not differ between treatments. 8–20 significantly slower in 8 than light; For juveniles initially 11–12 mm total length, there no significant difference growth or either 12, 18, light. Juvenile barramundi exposed a 12L/12D photoperiod fed continuously during daylight, ceased darkness. Under continuous juvenile throughout normal daytime period, but at time corresponding onset darkness; started again near midnight. Daily food for 34-mm fish approximately 40% more photoperiod. The results indicate that increases their first 8–10 days, thereafter it becomes less important confers advantage after metamorphosis.
