Aqueous chemistry and thermodynamic modelling of CaO–SiO2–H2O gels

摘要: Some CaO–SiO2–H2O gels of controlled composition have been synthesised by the hydrolysis mixed alkoxide precursors and direct reaction between colloidal SiO2 Ca(OH)2. The were equilibrated with water at 25 °C after different ageing treatments, compositions analysed. A mathematical model describing free energy formation gel as a function its has developed which accounts for experimental data. assumes that both SiO2(amorphous) Ca(OH)2 can form limited solid solutions an intermediate compound hence only small number parameters is required to characterise entire system.
