摘要: ABSTRACT Research on herbal medicinal products is increasingly published in “Western” scientific journals dedicated primarily to conventional medicines. Publications are concerned mainly not only the issues of safety and interactions, but also efficacy. In reviews, a recurring complaint has been lack quality studies. this opinion article, we present case Chinese medicines as an example, they have extensively used global market studied worldwide. We analyze potential reasons for problems propose some ways forward. As any drug, clinical trials safety, efficacy, and/or effectiveness ultimate demonstration therapeutic usefulness products. These will make sense when tested authentic, standardized, controlled, if good practice guidelines evidence-based medicine followed, relevant controls outcome measures scientifically defined. Herbal complex mixtures, such complexity, obvious approach mechanistic studies network pharmacology based omic tools approaches, which already begun revolutionize study drugs, emphasizing networks, polypharmacological features behind action many drugs.
