摘要: The rapid advances in computer and communication technology the 19709s have enabled large interactive scientific technical information retrieval systems to be implemented. Major search services today offer on-line access millions of bibliographic citations an increasing number "electronic handbooks." In addition, development knowledge bases is well under way. Despite impressive speed flexibility systems, their impact has been lessened by limited awareness existence, uneven quality retrieval, inadequate linkages among data bases, reliance on specially trained intermediaries.
