摘要: Abstract The indiscriminate use of medicinal plants and herbal products concomitantly with conventional drugs may result in herb-drug interactions that lead to fluctuations drug bioavailability, therapeutic failure, and/or toxic effects. CYP450 enzymes play an important role biotransformation interactions. Thus, the aim this study was develop apply Caco-2 cells-based gene reporter assays vitro potential occurrence CYP3A4 CYP2D6 expression modulation by standardized extracts selected plants. Reporter cell lines developed showed a significant increase fluorescent emission, 4 16-fold respectively, when compared controls. Cecropia glaziovii, Bauhinia forficata Echinacea sp. significantly increased fluorescence, those Ilex paraguariensis, decreased fluorescence assays. data obtained suggest seem be modulated tested. In addition, are functional could used drug-drug during research development new drugs.
