摘要: Drip irrigation, in its various forms, is the dominant mode of micro-irrigation India. The benefits these technologies water scarce regions have been widely studied all over world. A review literature on dripirrigation strongly suggests that there are significant financial, economic and social adoption technologies. However, spread drip irrigation Indian context has far below potential expectations. In Maikaal region Central India, a grassroots innovation called ‘Pepsee’ become popular choice for farmers. At less than half cost conventional systems, this promises comparable returns. What most interesting while government non-government agencies struggled to promote water-saving across country, people area adapted adopted their own. This paper looks at aspects innovation, spread, behavior impacts. authors find Pepsee other do lead farm level improvements efficiency, they will not contribute system ‘real’ saving unless favorable policy environment encourages large scale.
