摘要: Abstract In this paper we investigate the influence of fugitive methane emissions from coal, natural gas, and shale gas extraction on greenhouse (GHG) impacts fossil fuel power generation through its life cycle. A multiregional hybridized cycle assessment (LCA) model is used to evaluate several electricity technologies with without carbon dioxide capture storage. Based data UNFCCC other literature sources, it shown that production vary more widely than commonly acknowledged in LCA literature. This high variability, together regional disparity emissions, points existence both significant uncertainty variability. The results indicate impact can be significant, ranging 3% 56% total depending type technology region. Total GHG CO 2 -eq./kWh, considerably according region plant, plant type, choice associated values as low 0.08 kg -eq./kWh 1.52 kg -eq./kWh. variability indicates opportunities for controlling chains.
