Development and validation of a reversed-phase HPLC method for the determination of γ-tocotrienol in rat and human plasma

摘要: γ-Tocotrienol (γ-T3) is a member of the vitamin E family. Recently, γ-T3 has attracted attention scientific community due to its potent anticancer activity and other therapeutic benefits. The objective this study was develop validate simple practical reversed-phase HPLC method with satisfactory sensitivity for routine quantification in rat human plasma. separation from plasma components achieved C18 column an isocratic elution using mixture methanol, ethanol acetonitrile (85:7.5:7.5, v/v/v) UV detection at 295 nm. extracted by liquid–liquid extraction average recovery 60%. proved linear range 100–5000 ng/mL. inter-day precision ranged 5.8 12.8% accuracy 92.4 108.5%, while intra-day 0.7 7.9% both This data confirm that developed sensitivity, To assess applicability successfully applied quantitative analysis pharmacokinetic studies rats administered 10 mg/kg single oral dose.
