摘要: Hyperglycemia is frequently found (40–60%) after all kinds of stroke and it has been related to increased lesion size poor clinical outcome. In this chapter, we will primarily focus on ischemic stroke; outline the incidence natural course post-stroke hyperglycemia discuss possible etiologies hyperglycemia. Subsequently, present an overview various mechanisms that could explain how detrimental stroke. Finally, address question whether in-hospital should be treated in patients, if so decided, glucose levels targeted difficulties arise achieving this.
