摘要: Abstract Background The Nociception Coma Scale–Revised (NCS-R) is a rating scale developed and validated for measurement of nociception pain among patients with brain injuries in unresponsive wakefulness syndrome or minimally conscious state. However, little known about its use daily clinical practice. Aims aim this study was to explore experience the NCS-R by means focus group interviews nurses nurse assistants subacute rehabilitation ward severe injuries. Design Qualitative interview study. Settings Department highly specialized neurorehabilitation Participants/Subjects Nurses assistants. Methods In total, 12 experienced registered participated two recorded interviews. participants were selected from on following criteria: Employed at least 11 months being introduced having using own minimum period 6 months. An inductive qualitative analysis conducted reading text through several times, meaning units defined first separately later jointly between authors. Then coded categorized into subthemes themes. Results We found three themes, general relevance NCS-R, versus level consciousness, overall assessment disorders total eight subthemes. Conclusions content subscales are relevant injury rehabilitation. present cutoff value 4 points, challenges associated especially because they risk not assessed respect pain.
