摘要: Abstract The antidiabetic and antioxidant effects of the herbal preparation ADD-199 were investigated in STZ-induced diabetic C 3 H mice results compared with two allopathic hypoglycaemic drugs, glibenclamide metformin. Plasma glucose, insulin lipids as well liver glycogen, lipid peroxidation measured following treatment for 8 weeks. indicated that plasma levels normal controls at termination about 76 μmol/L to trace untreated mice. Glibenclamide increased up 70% non-diabetic whilst metformin had no effect. Basal glucose (18.8 mM) reduced 14.0 mM by 100 mg/kg
