Relationship between Epithelial MembraneProtein2 expression and Epstein Barr Virus, Cytomegalovirus and Herpes Simplex Virus infections in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.

摘要: Background: Lack of expression Epithelial Membrane Protein-2(EMP2) in Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is associated with adverse prognosticators and might confer tumor aggressiveness through hampering its interaction specific membrane protein; as Human Herpes Viruses linked to etiology NPC, the aim this study was find out relationship between EME2and these viruses. Methodology: In patients NPC were investigated retrospectively. EMP2 demonstrated by immunohistochemistry using n antibody. EBV, CMV HSV identified polymerase chain Reaction (PCR). Results: loss (negative) 10/92 (10.9%), P < 0.04; 10/53 (18.9%), <0.05 4/18(22.2%), P<0.001 HSV, respectively. Conclusion: there significant correlation human herpes virtues (EBV, HSV).
