摘要: The mitochondrial genome is the best known piece of eukaryotic DNA. Already nucleotide sequences entire DNAs (mtDNAs) human (Anderson et al., 1981), cow 1982), house mouse (Bibb frog (Xenopus laevis) (Roe 1985), and fly (Drosophila yakuba) (Clary Wolstenholme, 1985) are known. These complete sequences, together with partial restriction enzyme analyses mtDNAs from many other species, have resulted in a detailed understanding size, gene order function, sequence divergence, population distribution variants this remarkable molecule.
