摘要: A new model of the liquid condensed (LC) – expanded (LE) phase transition in lipid monolayers is presented which accounts for observed nonzero slopes pressure area isotherms across transition. This proposes that small cooperative units or "domains" lipids with extended hydrocarbon chains LC gradually melt into large regions disordered as lateral decreased. Thus, domain melting coupled to chain order–disorder and hence, order parameter where N signifies a molecules. In obtain , an established Ising-like solved Bethe–Peierls approximation. By fitting two free parameters one isotherm, we are able calculate other temperatures find good agreement experiment.
