摘要: The lateral prefrontal cortex plays a fundamental role in planning, organizing, and optimizing behavioral performance. Neuroanatomical neurophysiological studies have suggested that this cortical sector, information processing becomes more abstract when moving from caudal to rostral such involves parietal premotor areas. We review shown the cortex, addition its involvement implementing rules setting goals, activates during execution of forelimb movements even absence learned relationship between an instruction associated motor output. Thus, we propose is involved exploiting contextual for planning guiding responses, also natural situations. Among cues, those provided by others’ actions are particularly relevant social interactions. Functional macaques demonstrated activated observation biological stimuli, particular related goal-directed actions. these discuss idea codes high-order representations observed rather than simple visual descriptions them. Based on evidence same sector contains both neurons coding own action goals selection appropriate reacting context creation new sequences imitative learning.
