摘要: Although there is evidence of the benefits propolis on human health, vast majority studies have been conducted using animal models. The present study includes chemical characterization and clinical evaluation effects oral administration solution oxidative status modulation lipids in a population Talca, Chile. Chemical propolis, total phenol, flavonoids, antioxidant capacity were determined by ORAC. Identification phenols flavonoids was assessed HPLC-DAD. A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial conducted. Subjects provided informed consent form Bioethics Committee Universidad de Talca approved protocol. Eligible subjects ( ) randomized two groups: placebo ). All evaluated at 0 (baseline), 45, 90 days. In group, we observed that increases HDL-c went from 53.9 ± 11.9 to 65.8 16.7 mg/dL baseline Compared subjects, consumption induced net increase GSH levels decrease TBARS for group. Our findings indicate potential use health. appears positive improvement HDL-c, both which contribute reduced risk cardiovascular disease.
