摘要: The water pollution of Gidadakonenahalli Lake in Bangalore city, Karnataka, India was studied. In order to determine the quality lake present paper attempted evaluate physico-chemical, biological and bacteriological parameters it analyzed for a period one year from January December 2010. surface samples subjected comprehensive physico-chemical analysis involving such as temperature, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), oxygen (DO), demand (BOD), chemical (COD), chloride, alkalinity, hardness, phosphate, nitrate sulphate. Biological included quantitative planktons using ‘Sedwickrafter counting cell’. Fecal coliforms were enumerated by membrane filtration technique. Correlations coefficients calculated they identified type correlation existing among sample water. Water index (WQI) weighted arithmetic approach. A significant seasonal variation observed during study. value 849.01. result shows that is severely polluted.
