摘要: Abstract Polymetallic heterogeneous catalysts, mainly consisting in bimetallic metal nanoparticles supported on inorganic oxides, allow, principle, to obtain high performances (increased activity, and selectivity desired products, extended lifetime, resistance poisoning/coke deposition/sintering/etc.) thanks the positive effects arising from interactions between (two) metals. Due these reasons they are widely used promote a large number of reactions, among them also those aimed hydrogen production. This review examines specific applications reforming (including steam, autothermal/oxidative aqueous phase, dry reforming); catalytic partial oxidations, decomposition, finally water photo-splitting photo-reforming reactions. Applications reviewed with aim highlight both relationships metallic structures properties catalysts identify potential research directions.
