摘要: Leaves are an important source of β carotene (provitamin A) and their more extensive use, as vegetables cooked in the conventional manner, would do much to diminish still widespread occurrence vitamin A deficiency. When leaves used on domestic scale, value could be enhanced by avoiding collection middle day, when they contain least carotene, collecting them from those parts a plant where most carotene. More leaf become available if normal procedure were complemented use extracted protein. This compact food is particularly valuable infant feeding. Leaf protein can unpalatable which give very large yields. To ensure that retains its various simple precautions have observed.
