摘要: Integrating emerging technologies into the curriculum is expected in our evolving discipline, although finding time to master these can prove difficult. Institutional expectations for scholarly achievement need not take precedence; use of an overarching theme a summer research experience presented as one approach join group people with unifying topic study and discussion leading natural incorporation emergent technology curriculum. This paper presents successful model undergraduate where participants, both faculty students, investigated information security (IS) topics learned from IS professionals. This was applied individual projects disconnected areas computing. The experiences encouraged collegial supportive environment, firmly establishing peer / student collaboration. Student perceptions about field career options were positively effected, increased interest area well future graduate studies.
