摘要: The effects of suppression methanogenesis with a drug, 2-bromoethanesulfonic acid (BES), on the hindgut ecosystem and development cockroach Periplaneta americana fed either low or high fiber diet were evaluated by measuring methane production, volatile fatty acids (VFA) concentrations in hindgut, weight gain time (the length nymphal period). Methane production VFA cockroaches significantly higher than those diet. Although BES treatment greatly reduced not altered. These results indicate that methanogenic microbes are essential for keeping hydrogen pressure lumen, normal development.
