摘要: This review examines the origins of primary care and pressures currently faced in terms patient expectation, regulation, accountability, work force shortages. It recognises appropriateness adding to burden further by shift both more services medical education from secondary care. Some conclusions are drawn concerning potential solutions including skill mix changes, centralisation services, a change attitudes professional mistakes, increased protected development time, evidence based education, academic, leadership, feedback skills for general practitioners. Six recommendations offered as prescription organisational educational change.
