Treatment of mediastinitis after heart transplantation.

摘要: Mediastinal infection carries a high mortality in any heart surgery patient. The risks are even greater after transplantation. We present two cases of mediastinitis transplant patients. first patient was successfully treated with closed mediastinal irrigation. second initially irrigation, developed recurrent infection, and subsequently responded to muscle flap operation. A review the literature our own experience suggest that flaps should be applied earlier recipients severe or infections.
