摘要: The increased popularity of contact sports worldwide exposes a large number participants to both acute and chronic traumatic brain injury. Chronic injury (CTBI) represents the cumulative, long-term neurological consequences repetitive concussive subconcussive blows brain. Although this condition has been described primarily in boxing, it may be anticipated other such as soccer, football, ice hockey, martial arts. Since treatment options CTBI are relatively limited, prevention is paramount importance. Minimizing frequency severity sport will instrumental accomplishing goal. need specific undoubtedly rely on limiting exposure high-risk athletes, utilizing protective equipment, enforcing strict rule adherence, training supervising increasing medical surveillance.
