摘要: Heart failure is the leading cause of death worldwide, and current therapies only delay progression disease. Laboratory experiments recent clinical trials suggest that cell-based can improve cardiac function, implications this for regeneration are causing great excitement. Bone-marrow-derived progenitor cells other differentiate into vascular cell types, restoring blood flow. More recently, resident stem have been shown to multiple types present in heart, including muscle cells, indicating heart not terminally differentiated. These new findings stimulated optimism be prevented or even reversed with therapy.
