Interleukin-17 and interleukin-18 levels in different stages of inflammatory periodontal disease

摘要: Context: Chronic periodontitis is an inflammatory condition of the tooth supporting structures. There increasing evidence that cytokines interleukin-17 (IL-17) and interleukin-18 (IL-18) play a role in progression chronic periodontitis. Aim: The objective this study was to compare levels IL-17 IL-18 gingival tissue extracts from individuals with healthy gingiva, gingivitis, mild Settings Design: performed hospital-based population experimental design. Materials Methods: A total 69 ( n = 23 per group) were recruited for study.
