摘要: We evaluated a new therapeutic strategy for malignant glioma, which combines intratumoral inoculation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) expressing cytosine deaminase gene with 5-fluorocytosine (5-FC) administration. For in vitro and vivo experiments, MSCs were transfected adenovirus carrying either enhanced green fluorescent protein (AdexCAEGFP) or (AdexCACD), to establish MSC-expressing EGFP (MSC-EGFP) CD (MSC-CD). Co-culture 9L glioma MSC-CD medium containing 5-FC resulted remarkable reduction cell viability. The migratory ability MSC-EGFP toward was demonstrated by double-chamber assay. the study, rats harboring brain tumors inoculated MSC-CD. Immunohistochemistry rat showed distribution MSC-EGFP.
