摘要: Dentine hypersensitivity is a relatively common problem experienced in clinical dental practice. This condition may disturb the patient during eating, drinking, brushing and sometimes even breathing. Therapeutic intervention by desensitising agents provide only partial pain relief recurrence common. Much remains unknown about dentine hypersensitivity, terminology can be questioned. Most of literature over decades has been concerned with reporting trials proving efficacy numerous treatments for hypersensitivity. Indeed, besides haemorrhoids, there few other diseases or conditions known to man that apparently successfully treated so many extremely varied formulations applied topically. paper will discuss epidemiology, mechanisms production aetiological factors hope developing ideas more realistic prevention management strategies.
