摘要: Telomeres at chromosome ends are nucleoprotein structures consisting of tandem TTAGGG repeats and a complex proteins termed shelterin. DNA damage repair telomeres is uniquely influenced by the ability telomeric to form alternate including loops G-quadruplexes, coupled with shelterin interact regulate enzymes in every known pathway. The role preventing from being falsely recognized processed as double strand breaks well established. Here we focus instead on recent developments understanding roles sequence structure processing genuine induced endogenous exogenous agents. We will highlight advances break repair, base excision nucleotide telomeres, discuss important questions remaining field.
