摘要: Aroclor 1254 was fed to groups of 24 male and female F344 rats, from 7 weeks age, at dietary concentrations 25, 50 100 ppm for up 105 weeks. There a dose- related depression body weight gain both sexes decrease in survival rats. Histologically, an increased incidence gastric intestinal metaplasia adenocarcinoma found sexes. Hepatocellular adenomas, carcinomas, eosinophilic vacuolated hepatocellular foci were usually dosed rats only. The number these per unit area liver significantly although only exposed 1254. Basophilic similar numbers square centimeter controls treated This finding suggested that tumors arose de novo rather than the naturally occurring basophilic foci. appearance unique, potentially preneoplastic lesions stomach which do not occur spontaneously control would support hypothesis induced or initiated unique promoted growth any lesions. Nonneoplastic hepatic included degenerative changes aggregates macrophages with crystalline cytoplasmic structures pigment granules.
