摘要: Gracilaria lemaneiformis is a common red alga used as raw material source for the agar industry. Its extract rich in natural volatile constituents (VCs) having antioxidant activities. Herein, sustainable method was to recover VCs from alga. The chemical composition of present n-hexane fraction analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectroscopy (GC–MS) and potential measured using series vitro biochemical assays, including DPPH, hydroxyl, superoxide radical scavenging assays. recovery yield 0.823 wt% dry mass G. lemaneiformis. A total 25 were successfully identified, comprising approximately 99.94% volume. major component n-hexadecanoic acid (38.57%), followed oleic (25.48%), arachidonic (12.84%), tetradecanoic (2.52%). In addition, displayed strong free activity DPPH (IC50 = 21.56 mg/L), hydroxyl (IC50 = 18.34 mg/L), (IC50 = 391.12 mg/L) activities exhibited dose-dependence at concentrations ranging 5 200 mg/L. results indicated that process improved quality contained many with activities, which have be functional food cosmetics instead discarded byproduct
