摘要: A nonhuman primate model of Rocky Mountain spotted fever infection was developed in cynomolgus monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) infected by the subcutaneous route or aerosol. Clinical responses, hematology and serum chemistry values, pathological findings were similar to those found humans ill with fever. The clinical then used test efficacy a killed vaccine grown chicken embryo cells. Monkeys immunized varying dilutions two-dose schedule challenged at 2 months virulent Rickettsia rickettsii undiluted totally protected against both challenges, even extremely high doses.
