摘要: Rhesus monkeys were inoculated intravenously or intraperitoneally with various numbers of Rickettsia rickettsii. Monkeys that given more than 10(4) organisms died on days 3-6 after inoculation, whereas those less 10(3) day 7 later. There was no significant difference in incidence lesions between the early- and late-death groups. Vasculitis thrombosis occurred most frequently nares, pinna ear, scrotal skin, testicle. Adrenal cortical necrosis caused by capillary thrombosis. Rickettsiae, estimated plaque formation culture, numerous lung spleen.
