Assessment of parent adolescent communication on sexual and reproductive health issues and associated factors in Alamata High school, northern Ethiopia, 2013

摘要: Introduction: Adolescence, the second decade of life, is a period in which an individual undergoes major physical and psychological changes. Adolescence time opportunity, but also one risk. The main aim this study to assess parent adolescent communication on sexual reproductive health issues associated factors Alamata High school, northern Ethiopia, 2013 Methods: A total 488 adolescents were included study. They selected using multistage sampling method followed by systematic random technique. Data collected self adminstered questionnaire analysed SPSS version 16. Both bivariate multivariate logistic regressions used determine statistical significance association at P-value 0.05 with 95% confidence interval. Result: About 51% respondents aged 14-16, while rest 17 19 years old.  More than two-third participant (68.2%) had their parents issues. Adolescents grade 9 10 two times more likely communicate (95% CI=2.2 (1.08-4.46), students attending church or mosque 3.52 CI=3.52 (1.27-9.79) urban origin 3.12 CI= 3.21 (1.61-6.39) Conclusion: from 11 12, those rural less attend respective religious institutions should get due attention parents, school community other relevant stalk holders increase efficacy.
