Determinants of continuum of care for maternal, newborn, and child health services in rural Khammouane, Lao PDR.

摘要: Introduction The concept of continuum care has gained attention as measures to improve maternal, newborn, and child health. However, little is known about the factors associated with coverage level in Lao PDR. Therefore, this study was conducted 1) investigate 2) identify barriers promoting that are mothers’ continuation receiving services rural PDR. Methods A community-based, cross sectional a district Khammouane Province, PDR, using structured questionnaire. The outcome express assessed by modified composite index (CCI) reflects ten maternal health services. Results In total, 263 mothers were included final analyses. Only 6.8% continued receive all MNCH services. Five shown have statistically significant associations CCI score: higher educational attainment (B = 0.070, p<0.001), being farmer -0.078, p 0.003), first antenatal within trimester 0.109, longer distance from hospital -0.012, discussion husband or family members 0.057, 0.022). Conclusions study, we introduced better explain utilization preventive along care. By utilizing CCI, identified five determinants Furthermore, new modifiable for care: male involvement.
