摘要: Abstract An acrylate monomer having a cyanobiphenyl mesogen (1) was photopolymerized in liquid-crystalline (LC) ordering field of 4-hexyloxybenzoic acid (2). A blend and (2) (molar ratio: 1:4), containing photoinitiator, an inhibitor crosslinker, irradiated with UV light at 120 137 °C order to investigate the effect LC phase on resulting polymer. Here, both temperatures are nematic temperature range blend, however, former is polymer, whereas latter isotropic range. Scanning electron microscopy obtained polymers revealed that polymer prepared 120 °C consisted oriented fine fibers, measuring ca. 400 nm diameter, while had fused bead-like morphology. In addition, we investigated crosslinking morphology by comparing results from blends without crosslinker. We found phase-separated one necessary conditions for formation fiber structures.
